Have had the Newmar Baystar for 19 months. Outside of replacing 2 ACs.

a drivers seat, and a side window, I have had huge engine issues. Last Spring the entire engine was replace with less than 1000 miles. Currently the unit is being towed to a repair facility due to another engine failure. While all this is covered, I know don't have a level of confidence I need to ever get on the road with this unit again!

How can a new engine with less than a 1000 miles have a wrist pin issue on cylinder #5? Now I have 3 cracked spark plugs and some sort of jell on plug #2 and steam coming out of the spark plug hole? Engine light is on and the timing is off on all 10 cylinders!

What is next another new engine? Can I trust this chassis at all (tires, brakes, shocks, etc..)

I bought a Newmar Mountain Aire in late 2014 new a 2015 model. Other than periodic maintenance, and replacing an ac case which I cracked by backing under a low hanging branch, I have had no problems.

I'm sorry to hear of all the problems you've had, but most seem to be related to the Ford chasis and engine.

How has customer service from Newmar treated you? I have one suggestion, if you do buy another MH, try a DP.

We bought a new Ventana 2020 from Stienbring in Garfield, Mi. We went on vaca and last Fri as we were standing next to the coach preparing to get on our way, a air bag exploded under neath the coach, they sent huge wrecker and the driver could not gall us or the back end would drag, we say on the side of a busy Hwy for 6 days waiting for a mechanic and a part, when the part arrived it came with out the hardware, so we waited some more with no way to dump our waste trank.

We have no taken it 3 hours away to have it checked out by Accurate Aleignment in Appleton, Wi to be sure all the bolts and nuts are where they should be on the other air bags so we never have to go through something like this again.They could have sent a currier with the needed parts in 24 hrs rather than leave us on the side of a Hwy for. Early a week. Both Newmar and Spartan failed us, we had made reservations at a RV Park Ishpeming Mi, in the U.P. and they will not refund our fee because we did not cancel 7 days ahead.

We only had the Newmar for a couple of week and lest than 2,000 on the odometer which part was the delivery mileage from Ind to Mn. If we had read the reviews before hand and investigated other owner problems we would have been smarter.

I am sitting in another parking lot waiting to find out if we have anymore unknown problems before trusting this coach again. We donโ€™t really know who to hold responsible but surely someone should be responsible....

WOW I am surprised to see this about the Newmar, who usually is very careful but you know, there are so many rigs being made and people buying, quality is going down hill. Sorry for your problems.

I have a 2003 Newmar Mountain Aire gas with Vortecengine and have had no problems to write about.

My dash air conditioner no longer works. NOT bad for 15 yr old RV
